The Special Program Announcement forGenshin ImpactVersion 4.2 gave out new codesfor Primogems and other currency, but also teased the upcoming zone that will further expand Fontaine to the east. It won’t quite connect with Liyue just yet, but if recent leaks are to be believed, Chenyu Vale will close the gap when it launches in Version 4.4 with Cloud Retainer as a 5-Star Anemo character, who will come bearing new premium skins for Ganyu and Shenhe, her adoptive daughters.

Though many fans are hoping that Albedo receives his much-awaited rerun,Genshin Impactshared that the order of event wish banners for Version 4.2 would be as follows: Furina and Baizhu in the first phase, and Cyno and Ayato in the second phase. Splendor of Tranquil Waters, Furina’s signature weapon, will also make a debut alongside Baizhu’s weapon. Unfortunately, Jadefall’s Splendor is considered to be one of the worst signature weapons in the entire lineup, which may cause fewer Weapon Banner pulls than an Archon patch would usually see.

Phase 1

Phase 2

In terms of 4-Star characters,Genshin Impactplayers can expect to see Collei and Beidou join Charlotte in the first phase. Beidou in particular has proven to be an amazing option forNeuvillette teams inGenshin Impact, as she is capable of providing consistent Electro-Charged application if her Energy Recharge needs are met. Collei, on the other hand, is always a solid choice for a wide array of Dendro-focused teams.

On the other hand, Charlotte is a Cryo Catalyst character, the second of her kind afterWriothesley was introduced inGenshin Impact’s Version 4.1. Unlike Wriothesley, Charlotte is a healer who scales with ATK, and may prove to be a good option for Furina, whose unique kit relies on having a healer to maximize its damage output. Given thatGenshin ImpactandHonkai Star Railcontinue to be the two most popular Gacha games on the market, HoYoverse can expect to see plenty of people pulling for the new Archon, at the very least.
