Square Enix has announced that it is producing a special vinyl LP box collection for the 20th anniversary of its RPG series,Kingdom Hearts. The vinyl collection will contain some of the most recognizable soundtracks from the video games and some special physical features that focus onfavoriteKingdom Heartscharacters, making it something that fans of the series will likely want to add to their collection.Even though the main 20th anniversary celebrations ofKingdom Heartsalready concluded in April 2022, Square Enix has since continued to provide the community with game updates and news about upcoming official products. Despite the lack of information for the highly anticipatedKingdom Hearts 4, some updates featured the series' mobile titles likeKingdom Hearts: Missing LinkandDark Road. In terms of merchandise, Square Enix opened preorders for mouse pads,Kingdom Hearts20th anniversary Walkman and earbuds, and this special vinyl LP box collection.RELATED:New Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Mouse Pads Are Available for Pre-OrderOn the Japanese Twitter account of Square Enix Music, the company released official information about theKingdom Hearts20th anniversaryvinyl LP box. According to the website, the product will cost 16,500 yen, which is around $125 USD. The release date for the vinyl box is only a few months away, on Jul 06, 2025. The collection will be housed in a box that features the 20th anniversary visual theme, and each of the three analog records will be packaged in the key illustrations of the originalKingdom Hearts,Kingdom Hearts 2, andKH3.
The website also shared that there will be a total of 36 tracks included. Some of the tracks named include the originalKingdom Heartstheme “Dearly Beloved,” “Dive into the Heart -Destati-,” “Traverse Town,” and an instrumental orchestra version of “CHIKAI.” To tie into the whole 20th anniversary, the soundtrack used to introduce theKingdom Hearts 4trailerduring the event’s livestream, “Reality in the Dark,” will also be included on the vinyl records. What’s more, those who purchase the collection will also get a limited-edition card, with a stand, of the 20th anniversary illustration featuring the four versions of Sora.
Unfortunately, Square Enix has yet to announce if thisKingdom Heartsvinyl LP box will be available to fans outside of Japan. As of now, only those who have a Japanese Square Enix online store account can preorder the collection. With so many fans in love with theKingdom Heartsseries around the world, hopefully Square Enix will also open preorders of the vinyl LP box beyond Japan’s borders.
